A compliment from the teacher
Yesterday I was told when I entered into Jackie's classroom that Conner "is on it". Which was a very nice surprise and one I needed to hear. This past marking period he came home with two F's ~ Math and Reading. Subjects he doesn't have liberities to fail in. I think it really shocked him to see those grades coupled with hearing the disappointment from Mark and I that it might have gotten him back in gear. He's a smart kid and knows how to do this....he's just got to learn to be disciplined and motivated to do it. Maybe something he'll have to learn and grow into. Today he got a 99% on his Spelling, which was awesome. I'm proud of him when he does stuff like that.

My first post
Being nosey today. A couple ladies at church were talking about blogger and thought I'd check it out and see what it is about. So far its a bit confusing, but I did manage to figure out how to add the pacman game to the profile. That's been fun playing that ~ highest I got was to level 5. Gosh I can remember when I was obsession about this game as a kid. As soon as I got home from school the Atari game would be turned on and in went the pacman game. I was so good back then, now I'm pretty pathetic. haha! I guess I'll just have to brush up on my talents (is that what we call it? ) and get better again.
The kids are outside playing in the snow. Sledding down the hill in the front yard. Having so much fun and freezing at the same time, I'm sure. Why is it that kids will ignore the obvious pains of cold to play, but will use it as an excuse to get out of doing chores? Wait, I know the answer ~ don't tell me!!! I REALLY, REALLY know the answer here........ well, it's because they prioritize fun as being number one and doing chores (oh that responsible thing that we have to do in life) at the bottom of the list. :D Oh well ~ they are having fun and enjoying life as a kid. More power to them. They'll have enough of responsibilties when they get older.
Well....time to hit the post button to see if I am doing this right. I'd hate to invest much into this post and it doesn't even show up. :D
see ya .......
